KOCHI: In a scathing attack on Minister Shibu Baby John, Justice Sivarajan Commission stated that his speech criticizing them was not right. When trying to defame the commission appointed by the government, a person of ministerial berth blabbering like this is a serious issue, the commission observed.
However, the commission will release an order the next day on the apology given without mentioning anything about the speech. The panel has decided to seek an extension of six more months. The commission criticized Saritha S Nair for not appearing before them in today’s sitting.
The minister’s speech at Kollam criticizing the commission turned controversial. Advocate C Rajendran approached the commission to take steps for contempt of court. Though Sivan Madathil who appeared for the minister tendered an apology, the commission was not satisfied on it.
