Sangh Parivar trying to convert JNU into RSS office, says VS

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan has alleged in a statement on Wednesday that the RSS has been trying to convert JNU into an RSS office. “Democrats across the nation should put up a strong resistance against this and organise protests. In a manner never-before happened in the history of democratic India, the Sangh Parivar and their students’ organisation ABVP are making organised attacks,” he said.

“Attempts are going on to crush down the voices raised against Sangh Parivar’s Hindutva agenda. Jailing JNU students’ union president Kanhaiya Kumar is a proof of this. It has been proved that allegations against Kumar are forged ones. What was seen at Patyala House court was the manifestation of Sangh Parivar’s Intolerance and fascist approach. The advocates loyal to them had taken law into their own hands. Earlier, attack was carried out against CPM’s Delhi head office AKG Bhavan and threat message was sent to Party General Secretary Sitaram Yechury. These are evidence of Sangh Parivar’s hooliganism,” his statement said.

Achuthanandan alleged that the Sangh Parivar was going about with their saffronisation agenda. Their activities would bring ill-reputation to the nation. Hence, all democratic-progressive forces should unite to build fortresses of protest against the Sangh Parivar.
