Anxiety over high speed railway corridor will be addressed: CM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said the government will go ahead with high speed railway corridor project after addressing people’s anxiety over it. The project will be implemented after making sure that only minimum possible lands are acquired for the project.

In reply to Benny Behanan’s calling attention motion, the chief minister said Delhi Metro Railway Corporation had been assigned the job of preparing the detailed project report (DPR). “There is no time frame given for submitting the DPR but instructions have been given to submit the report as early as possible. According to the plans, one third of the line will be through tunnels and the rest will be built as elevated lines,” he said.
