THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Despite the absence of the late actress Kalpana, who was a frequenter to Ponagala venue, a number of film-TV personalities will turn up to offer Pongala to the presiding deity of Attukal Temple this time also.
Yesteryear actresses such as Vidhubala, Chippi, serial actresses Karthika and Sudha Nair will offer Pongala on the premises of Gouri Vandanam hotel.
Actress Annie will offer Pongala from her cousin’s house near Attukal temple. Annie’s private sorrow is that this time, late Music director Rajamani’s wife Beena will not be present.
Script writer S N Swami’s wife Uma who was another frequenter also won’t take part due to ill-health. Annie expects film actresses Archana and Manka Mahesh, who were present last time, to come this time, as well.
