ALAPPUZHA: NCP leader Thomas Chandy MLA Sunday announced his ministerial berth and the portfolio even before the dates for the assembly polls were announced. He said that he has decided to contest the polls at the behest of the people of Kuttanad constituency and is sure to win. The CPM is not interested in the Kuttanad seat and so it is for the NCP.
If the LDF assumes power, as a leader of the party’s parliamentary party will ask for the irrigation department, he said. Whoever becomes minister from the party, the department will be handled by me, he said while talking to a private channel.
