KOCHI: All petrol pumps of the state will remain closed tomorrow in protest against the death of a pump owner in Chenganoor. The decision was taken by the state panel of the Petroleum Traders Association. The pumps will remain closed from 6 am to 6 pm. Muraleedharan Nair (55) of Chenganoor and owner of Renu Auto Fuels died early Thursday morning. He was attacked by the goons on February 18th night and was undergoing treatment from then.
The strike is being staged as the government failed to take steps even after apprising the government about the attacks noticed in pumps, said association secretary Basheer M M.
