Solar Commission is prejudiced, says UDF

KOCHI: UDF convenor P P Thankachan has said that the solar Commission was prejudiced in its approach to the solar case. “It is not fair to say that one should not criticise judges,” he said.

Thankachan was responding to Solar Commission chairman Justice Shivarajan’s move to criticise Minister Shibu Baby John for making comments against the Solar Commission.

“In many occassions, the Commission is functioning with prejudice. I don’t know the basis for the judge to say that one should not criticise judges. If judges can criticise, they should also be ready to take it back.  They should criticise only if they are ready to be criticised,” said Thankachan, who also asked,   “if judges can cross their limits, why can’t people’s representatives also…?”
