Molesting 10-yr-old girl: 63-yr-old, father arrested

KAZHAKOOTTAM: A man who had been molesting her daughter for the past one year and his 63-yr neighbour, who also treated her in the same manner, were arrested on Monday.

Manu alias Sasi, 38, from Njandoorkonam Uliyazhthura Puliyankodu Bhagavathypuram and Amrithanandan alias Pankajakshan who is Sasi’s neighbour from Puliyankodu Bhagavathypuram Ranjith Bhavan were the persons arrested.


Police say Sasi used to make advances to the girl in the absence of her mother. Pankajakshan also joined him. A week ago the girl’s mother handed her over to Nirbaya, an organisation for women. The staff there came to know about the girl’s plight after she spoke out. They soon informed the police, who conducted an inquiry and arrested the duo.
