KOZHIKODE: In order to suppress blade mafias in the state, steps will be taken under ‘Operation Kubera’, said Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala at a press meet. Nodal officers will be appointed in all districts.
Chennithala said the suicide of five members of a family following threat from blade mafia is a serious matter. Blade mafia is a social threat and everybody should unite to suppress these Shylocks, he said.
The next UDF meet will discuss the bar license issue. None from the congress has any links with the liquor lobby. He asked leaders not to make any public statements on the bar license issue. Raids will be conducted by the excise to prevent illicit liquor.
Neither the CBI nor the union personnel ministry has informed the state their unwillingness to probe the TP murder case, Chennithala said in reply to a question.
