KOTTAYAM: When the expectations were that the parliament seat controversy would dominate the CPI conference, party leader C Divakaran on Friday hit back at his critics, saying the party was responsible for decisions regarding the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha seat.
He told a news channel that the selection of the candidate was a collective decision and he was only a part of it. “Soon it will be revealed that the issue was the result of a conspiracy to stunt my growth in the party. The discussions in the party that there is a race within the party to State Secretary’s post cannot be appreciated. This discloses the indiscipline within the party,” he said.
