I’ve full faith in DGP, says Chennithala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has full faith in DGP K S Balasubramanyam, said Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala. Talking to the media, he said the DGP has not intervened in the case connected with the murder of the security guard Chandrabose.

The DGP has informed in writing that he has not intervened in the case in any way. The government has believed that and no allegations have been heard against him. The DGP is an efficient and trust-worthy person. If Chief Whip P C George hands over any evidence against him, it would be examined then.  Not only that the DGP has informed that he has not taken any step to help Nisham in the murder case, said Chennithala.

Chennithala said the police want maximum punishment to be awarded to Nisham. The investigation is moving in the right path. The government will not permit any move to divert the case by making controversies. I informed the visit of DGP to Thrissur.  The hospital authorities should hand over the clothes worn by Chandrabose to the police.

There are many reasons for not slapping KAAPA against Nisham.  By slapping KAAPA, a person can be kept in preventive custody for a year. However, Nisham is already in police custody. There is no need to frame KAAPA against him again. If the court grants him bail, KAAPA will be slapped on him and he will be kept in preventive custody, he said.
