George’s letter alleges corruption against Mani, son

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: P C George, who was sacked from the chief whip post on Tuesday, has come to the fore with severe corruption allegations against Finance Minister K M Mani and his son Jose K Mani. The ten-page letter on the allegations has been handed over to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and UDF leaders.  

The letter says Mani accepted a bribe of Rs 5 crores before presenting the 12th budget. The cash was counted in the note counting machine at Mani’s house. He has cheated the rubber farmers. Jose K Mani accepted a bribe of Rs 10 crores from major tyre companies for not staging a strike against the fall in rubber prices. The letter alleged the role of Jose K Mani in the solar and bar bribe cases also.
