Investigating official DySP Sukesan approached the court for permission to subject bar association president Rajmumar Unni, secretary Dhanesh, vice president Krishnadas Polakkulam and bar owner John Kallat for a lie detector test. Apart from the four, Sreevatsan, the bar owner should also be subjected for the test.
The notice sent to the bar owners has asked them to inform before May 6 their consent for the test.
Though Biju Ramesh, bar association working president, had levelled that Mani accepted bribe, none gave statement supporting it. In this situation, the vigilance decided to demand a lie detector test.
Biju’s driver Ambili told vigilance that the cash was kept safely in Sreevatsan’s friend’s house and handed over to Mani in his house. Sreevatsan should also be subjected for the test to know the truth.
