Rajya Sabha: Munavarali says he respects party’s decision

MALAPPURAM: Panakkad Syed Munavarali Shihab Thangal has said that he respects the decision of the Muslim League to make P V Abdul Wahab its Rajya Sabha candidate. 

In his official face book post, he says his earlier post was not to target anybody but to highlight the importance of the issue. Though he had written on the Fb page against giving Rajya Sabha seat to Wahab, he later removed it as it became news.   

The recent post says, “I am completely accepting the decision to give seat to Wahab. I wish him a successful term in the Rajya Sabha. As it is a collective decision of the party, there is no relevance for individual’s opinion. The decision taken was not in line with the party’s old tradition and the time will prove whether it was right or wrong.”
