THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The National Human Rights Commission will intervene in the case in which minor girls at Ambalavayal in Watanad were sexually abused recently. National Human Rights Commission Chairman K G Balakrishnan told media persons that “it is embarrassing to see such incidents becoming a usual thing in Kerala and inquiry will be conducted considering the seriousness of the issue.”
The Commission also accepted a complaint that said the accused in the case had top political links and hence the government mechanisms were reluctant to bring the culprits before the law.
