Youth drowns in Kallada River
PUNALUR: A native of Tamil Nadu drowned in the Kallada River while taking a bath. The dead identified as Saravanan (25) of Chennai drowned last evening at the bathing ghat near the Ottakkal Deer Park. The incident happened when he visited his relative to partake in a temple festival.
Though his friends tried to rescue him after seeing him drowning, his life could not be saved. Thenmala police and the fire forced reached the spot and recovered the body
