KASARGOD: The special squad have intensified probe in various parts of Karnataka for the accused in connection with the theft of Rs 13 lakh and 21 kilograms of gold from the Kudlu Service Cooperative Bank. The police had obtained information that some of the accused directly involved in the operation is in Bangalore. The accused left Bangalore after knowing that the police have reached there.
It is hinted that two from the team have left for Mumbai. The theft took place at the bank on Monday afternoon at 2 pm. A team led by DySP T P Renjith is probing the case.
The investigating team has hinted that most probably their arrest would be registered by Monday. The police have taken into custody six persons for helping the accused to escape.
