KASARGOD: The police have taken into custody the main accused identified as Sherif of Bandhiyod in connection with the theft of 21 kilograms of gold and Rs 13 lakh from the Kudlu Service Cooperative Bank. He was arrested by the special team from Karnataka. The gold robbed has also been recovered from him.
Two were taken into custody earlier. Abdul Mahshooq (27) of Choukki Kunnu and Muhammed Sabir of Choukki Badar were arrested by a team led by circle inspector P K Sudhakaran. Sabir is directly involved in the theft and Mahshooq is one among the conspirators.
