KOLLAM: A madrasa teacher was arrested for alleged sexual assault on an eight year old girl, here Monday. Police said the teacher Shamsudin was arrested from Chithara of Kollam following a complaint from one of the parents of the girl. It was alleged that the girl has been sexually abused by the teacher at a madrasa here.
The issue came to the light when the girl was taken to a hospital where doctors confirmed that she was sexually harassed. The accused would be produced before the court here, police added.
