June 13, 2011: The Kerala High Court today rejected the bail plea of Santhosh Madhavan (Swami Amritha Chaitanya) who is facing trial in as many as six cases relating to sexual harassment and rape of minor girls. Meanwhile, Santhosh Madhavan has surrendered before Ernakulam Central police station.
Santhosh Madhavan was arrested on May 13, 2008 on a complaint lodged by a Dubai-based Keralite woman. In her complaint, she had alleged that Santhosh had cheated her of Rs.40 lakh. Further investigation by the police had revealed his involvement in the harassment and rape of minor girls. During the trial, the judge has viewed video cassettes seized from Santhosh.
