In an interesting twist, a person who was taken into custody by the Crime Branch in connection with the Paravoor sex case, gave the police a slip and escaped from their custody at Government General Hospital here on Thursday.Police sources said that the person was identified as Nawas, 32, of Kozhikode.He was taken into custody by the Crime Branch and taken to the hospital for medical checkup.After the medical checkup, he fled the scene. Though the police officials who were present at the spot gave him a tough chase, he managed to escape from the scene.Meanwhile, the Crime Branch reportedly took into custody a woman and arrested a man in connection with the case. The arrested has been identified as Shebin of Ernakulam.The woman is said to be an agent who supplied the girl to various persons.According to the officials in the probe team, an identification parade will be held at the Aluva Subjail on Friday in the presence of a judge from Perumbavoor Magistrate court.The court had given permission to conduct the parade at the jail to identify the eight persons arrested by the CB in the earlier stages of the investigation. The sexual abuse of the 14-year-old girl came to light three months ago after her mother lodged a complaint before the police submitting that her husband had forcibly taken the daughter to prostitution.
