Muslim League-Congress friendly contest not likely, says K P A Majeed

MALAPPURAM: Muslim League State Secretary K P A Majeed has said that the party is trying to avoid a friendly contest between the League and Congress in Malappuram. UDF will fight unitedly. He said this at a press conference here on Thursday.

“All issues with the Congress will be sorted out through discussions. There will not be a situation wherein a dissident will be allowed to contest. If all UDF allies stand united, the front will be able to achieve a big win in local body election,” Majeed said, adding, “the division of Malappuram district is not in the agenda of the League”.

“A third front in Kerala is irrelevant. And, SNDP yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan’s party will not win,” Majeed added.
