No setbacks in bar bribery case: Vinson M Paul

KOCHI: Vigilance Director Vinson M Paul has said that investigation into the bar bribery case has not received any set back. “The case was investigated honestly and not for applause,” Paul said in response to the Thiruvananthapuram Vigilance Court’s finding that the Vigilance director had given instructions to acquit Finance Minister K M Mani in the bar bribery case.

The court had made this observation after eight people including Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan filed a petition against the Vigilance’ final report that there was no evidence against Mani.

Paul added that a quick verification had been started into complaints of Consumerfed corruption.
