Seat-sharing talks to be over before October 9: Chandy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that discussions on seat-sharing for the local body polls will be completed before October 9.  The decision on seat sharing will be taken at district level. The minister was speaking to media persons after the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

“The discussion was totally satisfactory. The UDF allies have extended their full cooperation to seat-sharing talks. All parties will make some compromises for the integrity of the UDF. There will never be a situation when two parties in the UDF will fight each other in the election. Strict action will be taken against those disobeying UDF’s instructions. We are facing the polls with self-confidence and we expect a decent victory,” the chief minister said.
