THRISSUR: Marxist ideologist and noted scientist Dr M P Parameswaran came down heavily on opposition leader V S Achuthanandan and CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan. V S is getting old and Pinarayi is not emotionally attached to people, he said. He suggested the name of Dr Thomas Isaac for the chief ministerial post and said the other two are not eligible for it.
He said the party should know that it is the people who should decide the chief ministerial candidate. Pinarayi has the ability to plan things but has no contact with the people. The party will suffer a big setback if his name is suggested for the post. Thomas Isaac is the combination of E M S Namboodiripad and A K G and is the apt person for the post.
The limitations of the two were pointed in order to analyze things accurately. In reply to a question, he said that he doesn’t think the party has banned him.
