Army in Kashmir should be given more freedom, says Antony

NEW DELHI: The army in Jammu and Kashmir should be given more freedom, said former defense minister and congress leader A K Antony. The attack witnessed in Uri is a serious security lapse. In such circumstances, army should be given the freedom so that they can decide what should be done.  The government has not learnt a lesson from the attack in Pathankot, he said.

The terrorists have obtained the support of the Pakistan Army. Terrorist activities against India with the help of Pakistan Army has been increased recently. This first happened in Pathankot. This is the first in the history of India camping there for days and conducting the attack, he said.
