Cabinet approves LDF's 100-day action programme

Thiruvananthapuram: The Cabinet on Tuesday approved the 100 day action programme announced by the LDF government when it assumed power.
The approval has been given for the welfare projects including 'Haritha Keralam and 'Sampoorna Bhavanam' projects. The government has incorporated organic farming and waste processing in the Haritha Keralam project.
The Sampoorna Bhavanam project aims to give a roof to all those who do not have houses in the state. 4.5 lakh people will benefit from this project.
Apart from approving the 100 day action programme, the cabinet decided to give Rs 8 lakh to the families of those killed in the Kuttiyadi flash floods. While Rs 4 lakh will be given in the name of the government, the remaining Rs 4 lakh will be given in the name of NDRF.
The cabinet also approved the Devaswom recruitment amendment bill. The government had decided to leave Devaswom appointments to the PSC earlier. The Devaswom recruitment bill needs to be amended for this purpose. The amendment will be presented in the assembly session to be held on Semptember 26
