Her comments came after reports about her troubled marriage dominated the media coverage.
"News about my marriage is true. We have been separated for over a year and divorce talks are on. I request all to respect my family's privacy," She tweeted.
It was a rare sight to see Ashwin accompanying Soundarya at public functions or the film promotional events. Besides, earlier, Soundarya was active on social media tweeting about interesting family moments with her husband. However, lately she has stopped doing that and it didn't go unnoticed. All these developments had fuelled media speculations about the state of her marriage with Ashwin.
While there are no reports on what was the real deal-breaker, the buzz is that they have had a difference of opinion for a long time.The couple dated each other for about four years before in 2010. They have a one-year-old son, Ved.
