I didn’t kill Jisha, Ameerul tells court

KOCHI: Ammeerul Islam, the lone convict in the murder case of Jisha, a law student in Perumbavoor, told court that he did not kill her. While considering his bail plea, he told before the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court that it was Anarul Islam, who killed her. Meantime, the court accepted the charge sheet making him the lone accused in the case.

He was produced in the court at 11.45 am Tuesday morning. When the judge began to consider his bail plea, he said that he wants to say some things. Following that, the court was ready to hear him. He said, “I didn’t kill her. My friend Anar killed her.” Soon after hearing him, the court postponed to 26 considering his bail plea.

Ameerul’s brothter Badrul Islam had earlier revealed that it was Anar who killed her. Ameerul was with Anar when the crime was committed but he has no role in it. Anar had some previous enmity with her and that led to the murder, Badrul had stated.
