Soumya case: Satisfied with govt’s action, says mother

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The concern in the murder case of my daughter Soumya has not changed completely, said her mother Sumathy. Meantime, I am satisfied with the government’s present decisions including filing a review plea against the cancellation of the death penalty awarded to the accused Govindachamy. She said this while talking to reporters after calling on Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and DGP Loknath Behra.

I have full faith in the government. I am returning with full satisfaction after meeting the chief minister. I am also thinking of filing a review plea on my own. Law Minister A K Balan has also assured to take all necessary steps, she said.

Sumathy came with her son to meet the chief minister.
