VARKALA: 68-year-old woman identified as Indira of Madavoor, widow of Mukil (late) was fatally knocked down by a train. She was the mother-in-law of Dr A Sampath MP.
The incident happened near the closed railway gate at Varkala Maidanam Monday morning at 11.45 am. Though she was taken to the hospital, her life could not be saved.
The body has been handed over to her relatives after post mortem.
