Civil police officer suspended for 'faltering' in probing Sreejith Ravi’s case

PALAKKAD: A Civil police officer, who allegedly flawed in handling the case involving actor Sreejith Ravi, has been suspended. According to case, Ravi, who was seated inside his car, had exposed his private parts to school girls and tried to take selfie with them.

District Police Chief suspended Senior Civil Police Officer Rajasekharan today and he also initiated departmental inquiry against three officers including the SI.

In the investigation conducted by the sub-collector it was noted that though the school authorities had lodged the complaint, Rajasekharan was not willing to make a primary investigation.

In the report, it was also mentioned that there was delay in starting the probe into the incident that took place on August 27.
Palakkad district court had granted conditional bail to Sreejith.
