Milma milk price goes up by Rs 5 a litre

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The price of Milma milk has been raised by rupees five per litre and the new price will come into effect from Sunday onwards. The decision was taken by Director Board of the Milma dairy brand.

92 percent of the profits from the price rise will go to dairy farmers who will get Rs 4.60. While the agents will get 20 paise an equal amount will go to dairy co-operative organizations, Milma has informed adding that it won't be collecting any profit from the increased prices.

The price of cattle feeds has also gone up from Rs 650 to Rs 850 per bag that weighs 50 kg.
