Single entrance exam for PG medical courses
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has issued a notification for conducting a single common entrance examination (NEET-PG) for admission to various MD/MS and PG diploma courses for the year 2013. As per the notification, NEET PG is a mandatory test for gaining entry to MD/MS/PG diploma courses in all Medical Colleges under the ambit of PGME regulations of the MCI.
Candidates who fail to obtain the minimum eligibility mark shall not be admitted to any postgraduate medical courses. The State Government has also made it clear that admissions to PG medical courses will be on the basis of NEET-PG and that medical PG aspirants from the state will have to write the NEET-PG and obtain the minimum eligibility marks.
