Music director Devi Krishna dies

THRISSUR: Music director Devi Krishna died of cardiac arrest at his friend’s residence in Kunnamkulam early Saturday morning. He was 59.

He was the music director of Pai Brothers and had also composed music for many plays. He was at present involved in the film Thirukkural directed by Murukan.

He has received the state award of Kerala Lalitha Kala Akademy for the music direction of Rajakan in 2007. He entered the field playing table for music director Raveendran. Apart from Raveendran, he had also assisted Johnson and Mohan Sithara.

He was the son of late Kunjumon and Ammu.
