Pinarayi seeks withdrawal of Devaswom ordinance
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan Wednesday asked the government to withdraw the ordinance proposed by them seeking to amend the Devaswom Act. Some conditions in the ordinance are against constitution.
Talking to reporters here, he said that if the government is not ready to withdraw the ordinance, the opposition would approach the Governor.
It is not correct to deny voting rights to the representatives elected.
Pinarayi asked the chief minister to convene an all-party meet to solve the hurdles in connection with Kochi Metro.
