Dogs would be culled, no change in stand, says Jaleel

KOZHIKODE: Minister for Local Administration K T Jaleel said there is no change in their stand that dangerous dogs would be killed. The stand taken in the Supreme Court that stray dogs would not be killed was to avoid legal hurdles, he told reporters here.

Law permits to kill dangerous dogs. Have directed local self-governing bodies to sterilize street dogs. Will an affidavit save you from the attack of a dog, asked Jaleel sarcastically? Government will meet the expenses of the sterilization of dogs.

The government had earlier stated that dangerous dogs would be killed. However, the government had to change that stand later.
