To solve crisis in schools half the money donated to worship places will suffice: CM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that if people had spent for the benefit of schools, half the money they donate to religious institutions, it would solve the crisis in schools, which are temples of Goddess Saraswathy.

“Those who donate money to temples should think about the school they had studied. The chief minister was addressing the audience after inaugurating National teachers’ day celebration at Attakulangara School. Teaching is a profession that comes with social commitments. The profession is nobler and more respectful that any other job. Most parents are literate. But many students who reach schools are below average in their educational standard. They need special care and honing. Some teachers are sincerely trying for that and some are not bothered…and that attitude should change,” he said.
