Milk price hike by Rs 5

KALPETTA: The director board of MILMA Monday decided to hike the price of milk by Rs 5 per litre. The decision was taken after considering the report submitted by the programming committee of MILMA assigned to study the hike in the price.

Milma director P T Gopala Kurup has been asked to take a final decision on the hike. A decision on the hike will be announced on October 11. The hike will come into effect from Oct 14.

The price of Milma’s cattle feed will also go up. The price of a sack of 50 kilos of cattle feed will increase by Rs 250.
