Multilevel marketing: Law to be brought in

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government will soon make law regarding multilevel marketing, according to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. 'The multilevel marketing companies should follow the rules laid down by Industries-commerce department which should be ensured by the department. A meeting was convened to discuss the same,' he told newspersons here. There are no curbs to continue multilevel marketing adhering to the present regulations, he said. He made it clear that no one should be forced to buy things of a prescribed amount nor should they collect joining fee from the people. Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Planning Board member C P John, Police Chief K S Balasubramniam and others were present.
