Trial in Payyoli Manoj murder case suspended
KOZHIKODE: The Kozhikode Additional Sessions Court directed to suspend the trial in the murder case of BJP activist Payyoli Manoj. The trial was set to start on October 30.
The court directed to suspend the trial after the crime branch filed a plea seeking a further probe in the case. The court informed that a decision will be taken after consulting with the High Court.
BJP activist Manoj was hacked to death on February 12, 2012. In a plea, the arrested said that they were not the actual killers but had been made scapegoats by the party. Six of the accused had expressed their willingness to undergo narco-analysis test.
