VS visits Kitex

KOCHI:  Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan visited Kitex Company, which is facing stiff opposition in the name of pollution issue, amidst reports that they are all set to leave the state.

VS, who reached the company held talks with the officials and workers. He did not visit the area where the company garbage is being dumped.

VS visited the place following the request of company owners. VS asked the government to entrust a panel and submit a report after studying the garbage issue.

Minister K Babu had the other day stated that they will try to retain the company in the state.
