National Games: George emerges with complaint, Govt to be in fix

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Government Chief Whip P C is likely to emerge with a demand for inquiry into alleged corruption in the National Games. Soon after the Games gets over, he will submit a complaint to the chief minister, demanding probe into the alleged extravaganza and anomaly in the conduct of the Games. If it is necessary, he would even approach the prime minister with his demand.

George told this to media persons and added that he had been collecting evidence to support his complaint. He also would demand that the sport sector be relieved from the clutches of business tycoons.

If Government Chief Whip himself comes out with the complaint, it will put the government in the dock. It will lead to big controversies.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that the CBI is making primary investigation into the corruption allegation over the National Games based on a complaint raised by Kerala Congress (B) Chairman R Balakrishna Pillai but Pillai has rejected that.
