THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Committee member M Swaraj has come out with his clarification on his remark he allegedly made against Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan during the CPM conference.
A baffled Swaraj stated in his Facebook page that he had not made comments like ‘ VS should be given capital punishment’, ‘ VS should be cut into pieces and thrown to dogs’. VS is a veteran leader and he has only respect for him. The posting was made under the title “Heenamaya Nunakalkku Satyathe Thakarkkanavilla”, which mean Cruel lies cannot destroy truth.
“In the history of mankind, there are lots of instances when attackers target people they don’t like by spreading rumours and lies. Some are resorting to such practices even in this modern age. That is surprising and their mental state can be termed only weird… I have had similar experiences before and my mind has become hardened after such repeated instances… But the present allegation has crossed all limits…
“After the news appeared on a prominent Malayalam daily, its online edition and on another online paper, I have been receiving lots of rebukes, verbal abuse via online and social media… Those making derisive comments against me should now stop it, but if they get some mental pleasure by doing so, they can continue with it…” the post read.
