KOZHIKODE: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan has asserted that nobody will leave the CPM and go. “Some people are spreading false rumours that a few allies are getting ready to leave the party,” he told media persons on Sunday.
He was speaking to the media after his meeting with former Koyilandi area secretary N V Balakrishnan, who had been degraded by the CPM.
The campaign that Balakrishnan is against CPM is a false propaganda of certain people. No one has shed from the party and the rumours that CPM men are migrating towards the BJP are false.
Clarifying that the CPM had not conducted Onam celebration to keep allies attached to the LDF, he said the basic principles of the party had not changed.
Achuthanandan had reached Kozhikode to release the second publication of the book ‘Matham Laingigatha Mooladhanam Paristhithi’ penned by Balakrishnan. CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had earlier disagreed to release the book.
Meanwhile, just before the book release function, a shot notice against Balakrishnan was brought out by the party in Koyilandi.
