Saturday, May 21, 2011: CPI State secretary CK Chandrappan today alleged that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy was misusing his power for protecting the former UDF ministers who are facing corruption charges. Speaking to the reporters here on Saturday, CPI leader opined that the UDF government was trying to sabotage the vigilance enquiry against the former UDF ministers.
Meanwhile CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan took on the UDF government alleging them of indulging in wrong activities at an early stage. Inaugurating a march took out in protest against moves to sabotage vigilance inquiry against former minister Adoor Prakash, Pinarayi alleged the Oommen Chandy cabinet of sending clear signs of protecting the corrupt at an early stage.
“Oommen Chandy wants to induct Adoor Prakash in his ministry and hence attempts are on to sabotage the vigilance inquiry against the former minister. Pinarayi warned of serious consequences, if the government fails to correct itself and let law take its own course.
