Speaking to the mediapersons here, Raghavan said that the denial of Azhikkode seat to him was a deliberate move. Raghavan who lost the elections from Nenmara segment in Palakkad district had earlier raised his claim for Azhikkode seat.
CMP had even declared Raghavan would be contesting from Azhikkode. The seat was eventually awarded to Muslim League and KM Shaji, Youth League leader romped home defeating Prakashan Master of CPI (M). Raghavan had earlier won from Azhikkode after being thrown out of CPI (M).
