Friday, May 27, 2011: The State Government has cancelled the licence of Hindustan Insecticides Limited (HIL), producer of harmful pesticide endosulfan in Kochi. Speaking to the mediapersons in Thiruvananthapuram, Health Minister Adoor Prakash said that the production of endosulfan has been banned in State.
The Minister said that private practice of doctors would be allowed based on certain condition after having discussions with doctors. He said that the demand of doctors on pay revision would be considered.
