Tuesday 24 May 2011: Here comes a bad piece of news for DMK MP Kanimozhi who will now have to stay behind the bars for some more time at least, as the Delhi High Court on Tuesday put off the hearing on her bail plea to May 30.The court adjourned the hearing on the bail plea filed by DMK MP Kanimozhi and Kalaignar TV chief Sharad Kumar, both of whom are currently lodged in Tihar Jail following arrest in the 2G spectrum scam case.
The court which will now hear the case on May 30, also issued a notice to the CBI on the bail plea of Kanimozhi. The duo had moved the High Court for bail yesterday. A special CBI court had last week rejected their bail plea and ordered “forthwith” arrest.
