No role in keeping out of Murali says NSS

Tuesday 24 May 2011: The NSS has said that it is the intervention of external forces which has resulted in the confusion over selection of members from the Nair community in the Cabinet.
In a press note issued, general secretary in-charge G. Sukumaran Nair said the Congress had always taken care to maintain communal balance during the formation of the Cabinet.
The selection of representatives from other communities to the Cabinet had been a smooth affair this time. The intervention of external forces and certain senior leaders of the party, and their irresponsible approach to the community had resulted in a confusion regarding the representative from the Nair community.
Neither the community nor the NSS had any role in the development. According to him, the NSS was of the opinion that V.S. Sivakumar, MLA, should get a chance to be in the Cabinet.
While some of the leaders had made intervention in support of K. Muraleedharan, MLA, the NSS believed that this should not result in Sivakumar losing his chance of being part of the Cabinet.
